What is Giclée printing?
From the French term "to spray", giclée (pronounced zhee-klay) describes the printing process that utilizes printing inks and archival substrates. No screens or plates are used resulting in a print with no visible dot pattern. A giclée print maintains incredible detail and rich, intense color, while preserving the subtle tonalities and hues of the original artwork.
How long does it take?
Digital Capture and Proofing take 1 - 2 weeks depending on our current work load. Once the proof has been approved, prints are made in 3-5 working days.
Can I get a framing quote over the phone?
We can give a rough price range over the phone but with thousands of options we suggest you bring your item to be framed into the shop. Once we've worked together on the frame design, accurate measurements can be taken and an exact, no obligation, quote can be given.
What is the normal turnaround for custom framing?
1 - 2 weeks gives us enough time to order materials and complete most jobs. We do have many moldings in stock which we utilize for rush orders. There's no extra charge for rush orders.
Do you deliver?
We can arrange delivery using a courier for small frames or rolled prints. We simply pass the courier fee to the customer. For oversize framed art we recommend renting a box truck to assure safe transport.
